Lower extremity amputations might be prevented through simple but effective foot care practices including early diagnosis & identification of the high risk diabetic foot. Early intervention to prevent further deterioration that may lead to amputation.

Our staff take a friendly, thorough and gentle approach in caring for our patients. Let us help you to understand your foot problems and treatment options and ensure you are aware of the conservative treatments which may be available including heat moldable and custom shoe inserts as well as the all important toe filler for individuals with a history of a toe amputation.
We have many styles and sizes of diabetic shoes available including those hard to find sizes and widths.
Who says diabetic shoes have to be boring – we have styles for all occasions!
Young Feet
The American Podiatric Medical Association has long known of the high incidence of foot defects among the young and recommends foot health examinations for school children on a regular basis.
Millions of American children participate in team and individual sports, many of them outside the school system, where advice on conditioning and equipment is not always available. Parents should be concerned about children's involvement in sports that require a substantial amount of running and turning, or involve contact. Protective taping of the ankles is often necessary to prevent sprains or fractures.
Parents should consider discussing these matters with Dr Jeffrey Feld if they have children participating in active sports. Sports-related foot and ankle injuries are on the rise as more children participate actively in sports.
